A huge part of any wedding is making sure the florals are just right. Whether you are planning a large lavish event or a small garden party, ensuring you have the right florist to bring your vision to life is one of the most important decisions you will make when planning your day.

Beautiful flowers, colours and style carefully curated can add so much life and character not only to your venue but also to the wedding photos you will cherish forever.

During our planning process, we were so extremely lucky to work with Sandy from Twig and Twine who not only designed the florals for our day but also supported us through the entire wedding process. Sandy’s wealth of experience and expertise made her a dream to work with right from the first consultation. The one thing that we found really special about Sandy was her warmth and the fact that she gets to know all of her wedding couples first over coffee before making any design suggestions. Sandy took the time to get to know us, our personalities and quirks and after 2 coffees and a slice of vegan carrot cake, she was ready to design the most incredible flowers for our special day, ensuring they were even better than what we had envisaged.

Sandy’s high level of expertise in her trade and the huge amount of creativity and passion she has for what she does means that every wedding she takes on is exceptionally designed, unique and reflective of each special couple, made just for them and no one else. Duncan and I were no exception with Sandy designing the most breathtaking hanging flower installation for our ceremony that perfectly framed the most important part of our day. This statement piece was complimented with elegant and timeless white and green bouquets that perfectly lined our isle and graced our reception tables.

Sandy was also very resourceful teaching us little tricks and tips of how we could save on wastage and ensure the arrangements we had were used effectively. This meant that we could re use flowers from the ceremony on our bridal table and guest tables maximizing value and impact.

We can’t recommend Twig & Twin more; they are so passionate, experienced, creative and easy to work with. The only thing we loved more than our flowers was Sandy.

C & Ds Tip: Let your florist lead you! Its great to go into your consultation with some idea of what you might like however try to be open to suggestions and new ideas from your florist. After all, they are the creative experts and sometimes giving them too much direction can hinder what ultimately could be magical.
