One of the easiest things we did through the process of organizing our dream wedding was choosing our stunning rings with the amazing help of Grant at Carats Jewellery .
Carats is tucked away on charming Vulcan lane just off Queen Street, Auckland, and each time we went in we were warmly greeted by Grant and his team, eager to help and just as excited as us for our big day.
There is a real romance about the carats store, with a big glass window, which shows the Carats team carefully working away on hand made and bespoke pieces. This handcrafted approach is becoming harder to find these days and provides a finished product with exceptional detail, character and uniqueness.
Grant was super friendly and personable, he made us feel instantly relaxed and with his wealth of experience, it only took us about an hour to decide on both rings. We walked away that day feeling ecstatic that the process had been made so easy, stress-free and the rings we had decided on were exactly what we dreamed of. In a short couple of weeks, Grant let us know our rings for the big day were ready to be collected and as expected they were absolutely perfect.
The diamond band I had chosen hugged my engagement ring like they were made for each other and Duncan’s palladium band was the perfect fit, colour and style.
We left the store a little bit more in love than when we went in.
Duncs Tip: For guys who have a hands-on job a titanium ring is always recommended, as they are cheaper and hardwearing. Titanium, however, cannot be resized! We instead opted for Palladium metal, which is a little more expensive up front, however, is just as hard wearing as titanium and can be resized when a single bod turns into a dad bod.
