Wedding cakes have gone through many variations over the centuries, beginning in Ancient Rome as cakes of wheat or barley, evolving into pie-like pastries and more recently, fruit cakes.

The latest version we’re loving is a move back to savoury: cheese layer cakes. These stacked wheels of mouthwatering goodness create the ultimate point of difference. Layer up wheels of your favourite cheese and serve it in place of a sweet cake or make it the centerpiece of a larger grazing platter. For some pretty and pops of colour, decorate with flowers and edible toppings.
