"This week we meet up with Melanie Kerr , our celebrant. Mark and I both left with sore cheeks from smiling and laughing so much, she is lovely and genuine.
Melanie gave us lots of ideas and things to think about for our ceremony, and she really took the time to get to know us. We truly feel in safe hands with her and know she is going to make our day special.
I chose the charms for my bridesmaids from Stow Lockets . Denise from Stow was really helpful. She asked why I chose each charm, here is why:
I choose the fox for my sister because she is an accountant and really good with numbers (the smart one in the family) and secondly because it has a determined look about it. She is always eager to get involved.
I choose the little turtle for my other sister (the youngest) because she is the baby and loves sea creatures. I know she will like the turtle and she just has such a calm relaxed nature so I think it suits her.
Elephants remind me of my best friend (because her name is Ellie) but elephants are such an amazing animal who are known to never forget and she is such a loyal friend.
Recently, I had my hair and makeup trial with Lisa from Revlon . She is great and has so much experience.
I'll go to Hera Couture soon to make a decision on my dress, but for my hair I’ve gone with a wavy side bun. Looking in the mirror once my hair and makeup was done was really exciting and gave me chills; it was a surreal feeling thinking this is what I will look like on our wedding day.
Our invitations are absolutely beautiful. It was hard to decide on a style as Beech Tree Creative have so much to offer. Riz was extremely helpful though and gave us lots of time and information. Mark and I ended up going with a flowery watercolour style to suit our elegant-rustic look.
Now with a few more jobs ticked off the list I can take some time for myself. I can’t wait to go to Barrefigure tomorrow for a much needed workout."
