If the pressure of your wedding is getting overwhelming, try these techniques to help you relax and unwind. 

Take just two minutes each morning to sit and breathe. Find somewhere quiet and comfortable to sit (the floor of your bedroom or bed) close your eyes and concentrate on your breathing. If you find your thoughts wandering off to wedding planning or the day ahead of you, just bring your focus back to your breath. After two minutes you’ll naturally feel more relaxed, centred and connected to yourself.

Laugh out loud
Laughter is the best medicine, right? If things are getting on top of you, take a night off and hit the couch with your fiancé and a comedy flick. There’s nothing like a good belly laugh to help relieve tension.

Have a cuppa
Coffee can worsen the effects of stress, so try switching your daily cup of Joe for green tea instead. Green tea contains theanine, an amino acid that promotes relaxation and helps to counter the stimulating effects of caffeine.

Work out
Daily exercise is essential for beating stress and keeping you energised. Join the gym with your fiancé as a way to bond outside of wedding planning, take up yoga to increase flexibility and focus or schedule in walks with your girlfriends each weekend.
