From precious pearls to stress-release soundtracks, we round up this week's bridal buzz.

The bold and the beautiful
Looking to give your big-day attire an irresistibly chic air? We love these striking accessories from Max’s Life in Black & White collection, which have recently hit stores. Paired with a minimalistic silhouette, these bold geometrics and sharp-angled zig zags would make the perfect ensemble for modern-look nuptials. Tie the look into your bridesmaid attire by gifting your girls a black and white clutch bursting with big-day necessities like pocket mirrors, breath mints, and a brand new lippy.

Something for him
So you want to get your man a wedding-morning gift, but can’t think of anything that’s more original than a bottle of cologne or a pair of cufflinks and, for that matter, doesn’t have a price tag to rival a small house deposit? Don’t fret, we’ve got the answer: Barkers Parisian Pouch Wallets. They’re $60, they’re limited edition and they’re crafted in Auckland from premium Wanganui hide. Tuck a love note inside and have his best man make the pre-ceremony delivery. You can purchase one of these fine wallets online, or through any of the Barkers stores nationwide.

Get your glow on
If you want to spruce up your skincare routine in the lead up to the big day, Dr Lewinns' range of cleansers and toners might be the way to go. The collection, which has just been rolled out at pharmacies and department stores this week, calls upon white tea extract, rosehip oil and sweet almond protein to combat specific skin concerns. The range has all the hallmarks of a luxury product, for a (much sweeter) price of $37.90.

All that glitters
On the hunt for your big-day bling? Allow us to introduce Kagi’s Bridal Collection, a new range from New Zealand jewellery designer Kat Gee. Get your something new and something blue sussed with the sapphire-set ‘I do’ earrings, or treat your bridesmaids to a pearl bracelet for the ultimate in timeless accessories.

Winter wonder
When you think of an island wedding and the images that spring to mind don’t include fur wraps, mulled wine and glowing candles, it’s probably because you haven’t seen Mudbrick’s latest photo shoot. With its sweeping Hauraki Gulf views, cosy fireplaces, deliciously rustic interior and impressive range of award-winning wines, the Waiheke Island vineyard has jumped right to the top of our favourite winter venue list.

Sound track of the week
We’re still crazy about everything Gatsby, and if you were looking for a stress-release set list to rock out to this weekend, the Gatsby soundtrack would definitely be our recommendation. It seems like anyone who’s anyone got a chance to feature in the most talked about film of the year - from Florence to Jay Z, this is your ultimate antidote to any wedding-related worries.
