Just thirty minutes from Christchurch, Woodfields Paradise has been created through sheer passion to create a unique surrounding for weddings and special events. A spacious courtyard opens out onto the garden area – a space that is unpretentious natural beauty offering romance, serenity and beauty.
Not many venues can say they have a private lake with it's own jetty, a unique 'stag hut' and various areas to choose from to hold your ceremony/reception. We wanted to know more about this stylish and serene space:
Q: Is Woodfields Paradise available for both the ceremony and reception?
Yes! You can choose to hold your ceremony in our beautiful gardens while we also have space for a marquee for your reception. For transport, an area that allows buses to drop off guests is available as well as a designated car park area.
Q: Talk us through the surrounds...
As well as taking a relaxing stroll around the gardens, you can spend some time in the 'stag hut' or relax in our open courtyard. At the top of the gardens you can hear water cascading constantly down our waterfall. At nightfall, the lights go on transforming the courtyard into a shimmering oasis.
The 'stag hut'.
You can choose to use our ceremony area for weddings or set up marquees for functions, special events, birthdays and more.
Q: When it comes to food, do you have a restaurant or can couples bring in caterers?
We can recommend a list of caterers for you or you can bring in your own. While we're talking about other vendors, we are happy to recommend local celebrants and entertainment to help with the planning or assist with any details you may require.
Q: Can couples have their wedding photography at the grounds?
Yes, Our beautiful picturesque gardens provide the ultimate backdrop for your wedding photos with many beautiful settings to choose from within the gardens, around the lake or in our open courtyard. The bridal party can take advantage of staying the night before, with an area for make up and pre-wedding photos.
